Frequently asked questions
The duration of a house removal depends on the specific details of the move. Every house is different, so there is no set time for a move. However, on average, a small house move will take around 4 to 5 hours to complete loading, plus travel time and unloading. The unloading process typically takes less time compared to loading as the focus is simply on emptying the van, rather than trying to fit items into limited space in the van during loading.
It is not normal for Sideline Removals to do this. Our team have knowledge to disconnect or plumb machines. However, this takes time and will incur additional costs for the delivery. It should also be noted that we will not be held liable for any damages incurred. It is solely customer’s responsibility to inspect all areas upon completion of any plumbing jobs to ensure all parts are safely secured and together (e.g. washing machine's drain pipe cap is purchased to close where it is being disconnected from or hoses).
Yes, we can supply a full range of Packaging Materials, whether just cardboard moving boxes for storage or full moving kits for property removals, which include wardrobe hanging boxes. We will work up until 5:30pm before we start to incur additional charges. After 5:30pm, we will start charging by the hour for each team member unloading the van until completed. If there is no completion by 7pm, then we will come back the following day and a 50% charge will be added on top of the original price. If this should happen on a Friday, then completion would usually happen on the Monday in which case a storage fee will be added on for the weekend aswell.
